ESF AdvanCD™ Chemically Defined Insect Cell Culture Medium
ESF AdvanCD™ is a 100% chemically defined, animal-origin-free, protein-free, serum-free insect cell culture medium that does not contain hydrolysates. This proprietary formula is manufactured exclusively by Expression Systems for exceptional performance while improving the consistency and efficiency of your process. ESF AdvanCD media was developed for robust cell growth in parallel with clonal Sf9 cell lines and also supports the growth of Trichoplusia cell lines.
ESF 921 Insect Cell Culture Medium, Protein Free
ESF 921™ Insect Cell Culture Medium is a complete serum-free, protein-free medium developed for robust cell growth, protein production and baculovirus vector production for a wide range of insect cells including Sf9, Sf21, Tni (High Five™), and Drosophila S2. ESF 921 contains L-Glutamine and Kolliphor® P188 (Pluronic F68).
ESF AF Insect Cell Culture Medium, Animal Free
ESF AF™ Insect Cell Culture Medium is an Animal Origin-Free formulation and is a complete serum-free, protein-free medium developed for robust cell growth, protein expression and baculovirus vector production for a wide range of insect cells including Sf9, Sf21, Tni, and Drosophila S2. ESF AF medium is comparable to ESF 921 for growth and expression. ESF AF contains L-Glutamine and Kolliphor® P188 (Pluronic® F-68).
Production Boost Additive
Expression Systems’ Production Boost Additive (PBA) is a nutrient boost designed to increase protein expression by supporting the increased needs of insect cells infected by recombinant baculovirus. PBA is a serum-free, animal-free formulation that complements ESF 921 and ESF AF insect cell culture media and extends the late and very-late expression period of production by maintaining high culture viability
ESF SFM Mammalian Cell Culture Medium, Serum Free
ESF SFM™ Mammalian Cell Culture Medium is an Animal Origin-Free formulation and is a complete serum-free medium developed for robust cell growth and protein expression for a wide range of mammalian cells including 293, CHO and hybridoma lines. ESF SFM contains L-Glutamine and Kolliphor® P188 (Pluronic® F-68).
Sf9 Insect Cells
The Sf9 insect cell line is a clonal isolate derived from the parental Spodoptera frugiperda cell line IPLB-Sf-21-AE. Sf9 cells are adapted for suspension culture in ESF 921 or ESF AF and are available as a frozen vial or suspension culture. Sf9 cells are commonly used to produce recombinant baculoviral stocks and to produce recombinant proteins.
Tni Insect Cells
The Tni insect cell line is derived from ovarian cells isolated from Trichoplusia ni. Tni cells are adapted for suspension culture in ESF 921 or ESF AF and are available as a frozen vial or suspension culture.
